Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>This dataset is regularly updated by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources-Division of Oil and Gas Resources Management (DOGRM) to document and identify the boundaries of horizontal drilling units in Ohio. This dataset is updated as new As Drilled survey maps are received by DOGRM. The horizontal drilling unit boundaries are created from the paper As Drilled survey maps. The boundaries are only to be used to identify approximate boundaries and should not be assumed to be the exact boundary of a horizontal drilling unit. The paper or pdf As Drilled survey maps are a more accurate representation of a drilling unit boundary. In Ohio a horizontal drilling unit is a group of parcels or parts of parcels where the owners have sold their mineral rights to a company for the purpose of oil and Gas extraction using the Hydraulic Fracturing process. Each producing horizontal well has a drilling unit. Some Horizontal wells reside on pads and each pad can have multiple producing wells, for the drilling units of the wells that reside on the same pad the units have been merged together by either the company submitting the unit boundaries or by DOGRM. The drilling units of wells that do not reside on pads are identified by its well number.</SPAN></P><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN /></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
